FAQs about Household Letterbox Distribution

What is Emerald Print’s Letterbox Distribution service?

Emerald Print’s Letterbox Distribution is a full service where we design, print, and drop your flyers directly into your target suburb’s letterboxes across Australia.

Which flyer sizes can you distribute?

We can distribute A6, DL, A5 and A4 flyers via our letterbox campaigns.

What is the minimum number of flyers for distribution?

Our minimum distribution quantity is 1,000 homes.

Can I choose the distribution area?

Yes — you pick the suburb or area where you want your flyers dropped, and we map it for you.

How cost-effective is letterbox distribution?

Letterbox drops are very cost-effective compared to TV, radio, or billboards, especially when distributing flyers in bulk.

Can I target specific neighbourhoods?

Yes — we help you with targeted distribution based on your ideal demographic, geographic or psychographic areas.

What kind of reach can I expect from a letterbox drop?

You can reach a very high number of households. Flyers go directly into letterboxes, meaning potential customers are more likely to read and remember your message.

Can I measure the results from a campaign?

Yes — you can track enquiries, response rates, or sales generated, so you can evaluate the ROI of your campaign.

How does a letterbox campaign build brand awareness?

Regular drops create physical visibility in your community, which helps people recognise and remember your brand.

Does Emerald Print handle everything?

Yes we are agents for Australia's largest distribution network — we manage everything with their network teams: mapping, artwork, printing, and coordinating with distribution walkers.

How experienced is Emerald Print in this field?

With over 25 years’ experience in letterbox distribution, our team knows how to plan and run effective campaigns.

When are the distribution days?

Our target delivery days for flyers are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Are the distribution walkers tracked?

Most of the contracted walkers are GPS-tracked while they complete their drop routes and we will endeavour where possible to provide you with a GPS report approximately one week after your distribution. This report is not available sometimes where a walker is not able to use this technology, usually when networks are unreliable.

Can I receive a map of the drop routes?

Yes — we provide a custom distribution map.

How flexible is coverage if some areas aren’t reachable?

If a selected zone can’t be covered in the booked week, nearby zones may be used to ensure good reach while maintaining cost efficiency.

Is delivery always guaranteed in my selected area?

While we do our best, some variation may occur due to contractor availability, but we work closely to match your map.

How accurate is delivery tracking?

The network team use GPS tracking with the majority of walkers where possible and where technology is reliable, and also manual tracking checks and balances.

Do you distribute alongside other flyers?

Yes — your flyers are mainly dropped alongside other promotional material. Exclusive delivery cannot always be guaranteed.

How do you manage quality control?

We partner with professional distributors, and our team oversees the process to ensure flyers are dropped correctly and efficiently.

What’s the claimed “read” rate of flyer campaigns?

88% of households will read a piece of letterbox advertising.
